How do I make my return air grille quieter?

An excessive amount of airflow is often the cause of the noise. Ideally, the technician that installs your HVAC system should make sure the amount of airflow the system uses has enough of a 'return space' to handle that air. If the installer failed to account for this, you'll probably find that your HVAC system is noisy.

If it was installed incorrectly, you can make a bigger hole in the wall to allow more space for airflow. However, this is not recommeded. A better option is to purchase a Cubic Core grille that has more free airflow space. Click here to view HVAC Premium's selection of Cubic Core grilles.
