Throughout the day, heat is trapped in the rooms of your home. This heat then rises and warms up the bedrooms on the upper floors. You may think that turning on a fan will help to cool the air down, but the effect is only momentary. A fan is only moving the air around and not cooling it. An HVAC system, on the other hand, works to pull the heat from your home’s interior in order to cool it.
